Via Ferrata Schwarzhorn
OpenK2-K3moderately easy to moderately difficult

The Schwarzhorn via ferrata is a moderately difficult mountain route with a long approach and a rewarding summit finish. From the south-west ridge, steel cables, airy ladders and a short vertical tower create the real ferrata character, while the final ridge eases off and feels more like a mountain walk. The descent follows the south ridge and still asks for sure-footedness, especially when the ground is loose or holds early-season snow. What stays with you most is the scale of the setting: a grand panorama high above Grindelwald.
