Via Ferrata Gabi Simplon
OpenK3-K4moderately difficult to difficult

The Gabi via ferrata lies below Simplon village in the Gondo gorge and offers a short but athletic climb on a well-equipped line. It starts at Gabi by the gravel pit, with an optional three-rope bridge adding a little extra adventure before the wall begins. Expect plenty of iron, little sustained rock contact, and a final steep section that asks more of your arms than the approach suggests.
The route is suited to experienced ferrata climbers who are comfortable with exposed movement and steady effort. Allow around 2.5 hours for the outing including the return to Gabi. Good mountain shoes and proper via ferrata kit are essential, and the route is weather-dependent.
