Via Ferrata Mürren-Gimmelwald
OpenK3moderately difficult

Via Ferrata Mürren-Gimmelwald is a well-secured but very exposed descent from the car-free village of Mürren down toward Gimmelwald. The route mixes rock, earthy traverses, ladders, and short bridge passages, so it feels varied rather than uniformly technical. Its standout moments are the airy traverse high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the finale, where a very wobbly suspension bridge can be bypassed if preferred.
The route is rated K3 and is best for sure-footed, height-tolerant ferrata fans. Plan on about 3 hours total, with only a short approach from Mürren and an easy exit near the Gimmelwald cable car. It is open only in the summer season and should be undertaken in suitable weather.
