Via Ferrata Gauablickhöhle
ClosedK3moderately difficult

The Gauablickhöhle via ferrata is a varied, medium-difficulty route on the north side of the Sulzfluh, combining airy climbing with a memorable underground section. After the opening slabs and a short steeper pillar, the line leads into the 350-metre Gauablickhöhle, which must be crossed in full darkness, so a headlamp is essential. Back in daylight, the route continues on steeper, well-equipped sections with plenty of rungs, including a crux near a small overhang before the final climb to the exit.
It is a long mountain outing with a marked approach and several possible descent options. The route is best undertaken in stable weather and with suitable ferrata equipment, good fitness, surefootedness, and a head for heights.
