Square vide I is the serious line in Charmey: a K5 route built for climbers who are already comfortable moving efficiently on steep iron. The climb gains about 160 metres and, once you leave the start, the route keeps the focus on strength, commitment and calm movement rather than on frequent resting places. Overhanging sections make the exposure feel constant, so this is not a place to improvise. If you are confident on demanding via ferratas, it offers a compact but intense outing with a dramatic mountain setting and a strong summit payoff.
