Daubenhorn Via Ferrata Variant 1

The small Daubenhorn via ferrata is the opening section of the famous long route above Leukerbad, and it already feels serious from the start. Expect airy traverses, plenty of ladders, and two steep climbing sections that give the route its alpine character. It is often chosen by climbers who want the atmosphere of the full Daubenhorn without committing to the entire day. After roughly one third of the route, you can descend back to Leukerbad if needed. The line is fully secured, but the difficulty and exposure still demand good fitness and surefootedness.
