<strong>Daubenhorn Variant 2</strong> is a serious, full-day via ferrata for experienced climbers who are comfortable with sustained steep terrain and exposure. It climbs almost straight up the rock above Leukerbad, mixing ladders, cable sections, traverses, and narrow passages. The route is long and demanding, and the finish sits on the summit of the Daubenhorn, where the effort is rewarded with wide views over the Valais mountains. The descent continues over the small Daubenhorn glacier and then on hiking trails back toward the Gemmi cable car.
