The Tierbergli via ferrata rises from the Steingletscher area in a high-alpine setting, with glacier scenery giving the route its special atmosphere. It is a short but engaging line that uses the natural rock well and asks for steady movement rather than brute force. The SAC rates it as K4 with T3 approach terrain, and the route data points to about 2:45 hours of ascent and 510 metres of height gain. After the climbing, you reach the Tierberglihütte, where the view opens wide across the Susten region. The descent follows the hut trail back toward Umpol or Steingletscher.
