The Children’s Via Ferrata in Braunwald is a short, purpose-built route right behind Berggasthaus Gumen, designed as a first step into ferrata climbing for children and adults alike. The easier line is graded K2, with a more demanding K3 option branching off for part of the way, so families can choose a level that suits them. The loop is compact, stays close to the starting point, and is usually completed in well under an hour, though children may need more time. Absolute freedom from vertigo is essential, and proper ferrata equipment is mandatory.
