The Via Ferrata Gantrisch is a short but demanding route that climbs directly to the summit of the Gantrisch. Expect a steep, athletic line with plenty of exposure, where the mountain’s reputation is earned step by step rather than by length. It is best suited to confident ferrata climbers who are comfortable moving efficiently on vertical terrain. A full ferrata kit is required, and the route is typically open from mid-June to about mid-October. The reward at the top is a wide alpine panorama that makes the effort feel well spent.
