Via Ferrata Tichodrome

The Tichodrome via ferrata rises above Noiraigue in the Val-de-Travers and is a good choice if you want a secured climb with a genuine sense of space rather than a highly athletic route. It follows natural ledges across a broad rock band, so the cable often feels like a handrail while the scenery opens out below. The route is about 550 metres long, with one especially airy crux and no escape option. Expect roughly a half-day outing in total, including the approach and descent. The route is closed in winter and early summer to protect nesting birds.
