Leiteregg is the newest and fastest option on the Braunwald via ferrata network, a direct K5 line for strong and sure-footed climbers. The route climbs from Gumen toward the Leiteregg on the first of the Eggstock ridges and is meant both as a sporty ascent and as a relief when the area is busy. It is very exposed in places and demands excellent head for heights, solid strength, and careful pacing. The full tour from Gumen and back takes roughly 2.5 to 3.5 hours, with the descent following the Franz Schumacher memorial via ferrata.
