The Evolène via ferrata offers a compact but varied outing above the village, with three sections that can be linked or tackled in stages. It starts near the paragliding parking area at the edge of Evolène and reaches the cliff after a short walk. The opening overhang gives the route an immediate alpine feel, while the middle section is calmer and more accessible. The final part becomes noticeably more committing, so it suits experienced climbers best. The line is fully secured, but a helmet, harness, via ferrata set, and good footwear are essential. Expect a scenic climb with fine views over the Val d’Hérens and, in good weather, a rewarding late-day atmosphere. Descent is made on foot toward Villa and back to Evolène on marked paths.
