The Eggishorn via ferrata offers a high-alpine outing with a striking panoramic setting above the Aletsch Glacier. The route is well protected with iron steps, steel cables, and railings, and the more exposed sections can be bypassed if needed. It starts near the Eggishorn mountain station after a short approach and then crosses rock, traverses, and airy bridge passages before returning to the cable car station. It is a good choice for confident ferrata walkers who want scenery and a moderate physical challenge rather than long technical difficulties.
