Upper Valais

In the German-speaking part of Valais, via ferratas climb to over 3000 metres, with views of four-thousanders and glaciers. The Saas valley alone offers six routes, including the Jegihorn via ferrata with its suspension bridge and the Mittaghorn. In Zermatt, the Mammut via ferratas in the Schweifinen are waiting, and in winter also La Traversata on the Furggen. The Daubenhorn via ferrata above Leukerbad is one of the longest in Switzerland. You will find easier routes on the Gemmi, the Eggishorn or at the Bietschtal bridge.
