Via Farinetta

Via Farinetta is a demanding alpine ferrata above Saillon, threading through the wild Salentze gorge and its cool rock walls. The route is long and varied, with the difficulty rising in distinct sections from already serious terrain to a final, very challenging finish. Expect a sustained outing rather than a short sport line, with exposure, physical effort, and the need to stay comfortable on steep ironwork. In warm weather the shaded gorge can be especially appealing, but the route is closed in winter and should only be attempted in stable conditions.
